Questions about the Plot Luck beta.
The short version: Plot Luck is a location-based territory game. The longer answers below explain what is virtual, what is physical, and which parts of the beta are still changing.
What is a Plot?
A Plot is a virtual section of Plot Luck’s map grid. Owning one is game state only. It does not create a deed, lease, easement, permission to enter land, or any other right to the physical property underneath the map cell.
Do I need to be in Las Vegas?
No. Las Vegas is the original beta city and the place where the current physical Easter-egg collection is concentrated. The broader map, account and movement systems are designed so the project can expand beyond one city.
Why does Plot Luck ask for location?
Location places the player relative to the real-world map and can determine which gameplay grid area is active. Plot Luck distinguishes a trusted live Real GPS fix from gameplay positions such as Active or Ghost. A saved or cached coordinate is not allowed to masquerade as physical presence.
What are Active and Ghost locations?
They are gameplay-location systems separate from Real GPS. They allow the game piece to operate under different movement rules without rewriting the device’s actual physical position. That separation is important for location-specific rewards and for recovering safely when GPS becomes unavailable.
What are the Las Vegas Easter eggs?
They are real-place discoveries placed on the map as small image-only icons. The discoveries include the Springs Preserve, Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort, Harrison Guest House, Moulin Rouge, Golden Gate shrimp cocktail, Tupac’s Flamingo/Koval location, Gilbert Hyatt’s patent story, Mike Tyson’s Tiger Mansion history, the Welcome sign and Vegas Vic. Their histories are readable without an account in Las Vegas Stories.
Can I claim a physical discovery with Ghost or a saved location?
No. Physical Las Vegas discoveries use the live Real GPS authority. Ghost, Active Location, cached/saved positions and teleport-style gameplay movement do not prove a physical visit.
What are Neons?
Neons are in-game units used by Plot Luck systems. In the current beta they should not be interpreted as a bank balance, guaranteed cash value or promise of payout. Economy rules can change during testing.
What are Upgrade Tokens and Digs?
Upgrade Tokens are game inventory used by upgrade-related systems. Digs are consumable gameplay actions used in the map reward loop. Reward settlement is designed to go through trusted server actions rather than letting the browser invent inventory values.
What is a Signature stamp?
A verified player can save a compressed account image and use it to visually stamp eligible owned Plots. The image is presentation; the Firebase UID remains the ownership authority.
Can I use two phones on the same account at once?
Plot Luck is designed around one active device owner per Firebase UID. A newer device session can take over the account and the previous device is expected to sign itself out when session ownership changes.
Are ads live?
Advertising work is still in platform review and integration. Web AdSense approval and native-app AdMob testing are separate processes. Plot Luck does not describe an unavailable ad channel as active just because development code exists for it.
Can I click Plot Luck’s ads just to support the game?
No. Ads should be used only through normal legitimate interaction. Players should never repeatedly click ads, organize artificial traffic or encourage invalid ad activity.
Why are there public history pages if Plot Luck is a game?
The game already uses real Las Vegas locations as discoveries. Publishing the source-backed context makes that work useful outside the login flow and gives players a way to understand why a marker is on the map instead of treating it as a random collectible.
Is Plot Luck finished?
No. It is a closed beta. The playable loop exists, but systems can be rebalanced, secured, simplified or removed. Disabled and experimental features should not be treated as release promises.
How can I report a problem?
During the closed beta, use the same email, text or message thread that delivered your VIP Pass, or use the public Contact page. Include your Plot Luck Identity and UID when relevant, but never send a password.
